The Layout of the Oasis and its facilities

Thanks to Bananeurysms for the layout description and rough design!

The rectangles to the north, south, east, and west are the selection of gardens that the gardeners tend to when not in the palace's outer greenhouses.
Notice how they form the shape of a flower around the palace.

The squares in the corners are the houses that form the residential areas. Near them are multiple stairwells and entrances to the insides of the walls.
They either lead to the guard towers [which are guarded at all times], or the residential rooms within the walls. These are high-up rooms to get a nice view of the entire city, and as such are often reserved for nobility who reside outside of the palace.

There are 4 main guard towers, with 2 smaller buffer towers inbetween each one. The floors below each guard tower contains weapon and armor storage, as well as training rooms here and there.

The river flows from northwest to southeast, and in the top left residential area, there are small streams that line the roads, and as a result the more privledged gems get to reside here for the scenery alone. The river also flows through the main "lake" in front of the palace, which are used in service of the 2 greenhouses and surrounding gardens. It even flows into the queen's palace at one point, and the water is used for scenery, small waterfalls, fountains, and and even water shows on occassion for the larger-scale shows put on by the entertainers for the queen's amusement.

To the south of the palace, lies the main entrance to the Oasis. Guarded at all times by the most powerful soldiers, it is only opened and used by the queen and her aides, normally to look for gems who have fallen to the oasis, or if the queen wishes to travel in her off time. The souveniers she brings back from her travels often end up on display inside of her greenhouses, or on the ground floors of her palace in a museum-like fashion.

The circles inside of the walls consist of both beautiful gazebos for casual chatter, to sit around and enjoy the scenery, and small stands for rising star entertainers to show off their skills, perform plays, ect. The gazebos likely have very detailed and varied designs, with some even consisting of 2 floors.

The Palace itself resembles Latvia's Rundale Palace. The open space in the middle contains the queen's private greenhouses, and is often where executions and punishments take place for all to see.

The Queen's throne room lies in the northmost center of the palace on the top floor. Her throne itself resembles this.

The floor below the throne room is the prized entertainment room, where balls and large performances most often take place, and is where the fusion incident between Sky Blue Topaz and Rosaline Pearl occured.

Red Roses Winery
Red Rose Diamond's love for wine is proverbial and, while she still does import different varieties from across the galaxy, the fertile soil of the Oasis was suited to grow the crops necessary to run a distillery.
It is located on the first floor of the palace, and is a place where gems can go to relax, have a chat, and drink some of the local products.
The winery employs homegrown crops used to create various types of beverages, from wine to beer, although the signature production is the rose scented Red Wine, always served in parties hosted by the queen.
Visitors can also occasionally take tours of the cellars, where the liquids are set to rest.

Onto the darker side of the oasis...

Torture chambers and dungeons lie in the in the palace basement, which is interconnected to both the Doctor's Office and Quard HQ. This is where the experiments of cracked and/or broken gems often take place. It's very labrynth-y in style, and it is very easy to get lost as a result. It is similar to the Catacombs of Paris, but with more refined walls, and is much less lengthy.

An entrance these chambers is visible in the castle, but is heavily guarded, and described as the Queen's "most private chambers for her to let out her feelings, along with containing her most prized possessions." Of course, the more intelligent rebels already know better.
